How can I find out which awards my publisher has submitted my book for?
Q: How can I find out which awards my publisher has submitted my book for?

It’s probably best to ask your editor about awards when final edits are done and then reconfirm that the book is being submitted for those awards a couple of months prior to publication. You may also want to check your library for a copy of Children’s Books: Awards & Prizes, published by the Children’s Book Council, to see if there are topical awards for which your book may qualify. Examples are the Scott O’Dell Award, which is given for a distinguished work of historical fiction, and the Edgar Allan Poe Award, which is given by The Mystery Writers of America for the best juvenile and young adult mystery novels. Also, as an SCBWI member, you are eligible for the Golden Kite Awards given annually for fiction, non-fiction, picture book text and picture book illustration. 1:2/00
