Susan Salzman Raab



She regularly reports on the publishing field as a broadcast correspondent, covering children’s books, authors and illustrators for the Teachers for a New Era program at the University of Connecticut and for Kids Public Radio. She’s also been a national correspondent for Recess! Radio, a program that was syndicated nationally to 500 public radio stations.

Susan Raab has served as advisor to the Bank Street Center for Children’s Literature, the Center for the Study of Children's Literature and Culture at the University of Florida, the Julie Andrews Collection, and the Northeast Children’s Literature Center at the University of Connecticut. She is also an alumna of the University of Connecticut, where she co-sponsors an annual children's illustration award, the Raab Prize, to encourage students to pursue careers in the arts.

Prior to starting the agency, she worked as publicity manager for Scholastic Incorporated, publicist for juvenile books at Dell Publishing and in promotion for the School and College division of Bantam Books. She also worked for a number of years as an account executive for high-tech products at a major Philadelphia ad agency, and as a book-buyer for an independent bookstore in Connecticut.
