Susan Salzman Raab

Susan Salzman Raab has been in the book business for more than 25 years. She founded Raab Associates, Inc. in 1986 as the only agency dedicated to promoting and marketing children’s books. Over the years, that has expanded to include other quality products for children and families.

She is also the author of the book, An Author’s Guide to Children’s Book Promotion, now in its tenth edition. A regular speaker at industry conventions, she has also discussed children’s books, marketing and trends in media interviews on TV, radio and with the press.

She regularly reports on the publishing field as a broadcast correspondent, covering children’s books, authors and illustrators for the Teachers for a New Era program at the University of Connecticut and for Kids Public Radio. She’s also been a national correspondent for Recess! Radio, a program that was syndicated nationally to 500 public radio stations.
